BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny), the I Ching and Korean folk fortunes side by side with Western astrology, tarot and numerology. Enter your birth date once and see East and West together.
A Western birth chart, or natal chart, is a map of the sky at the moment and place of your birth. It shows where the Sun, the Moon and the planets stood in the twelve signs of the zodiac and, if you know your birth time, which sign was rising on the eastern horizon and how the twelve houses fall.
Fate Hall calculates the positions of ten celestial bodies with standard astronomical formulas, using your birth time converted to Universal Time with the historical time zone of your birthplace. The rising sign (Ascendant) and Midheaven come from the time and latitude, and the aspects — conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines and oppositions — from the angles between planets. The calculations have been compared with published astronomical events to within a fraction of a degree.
Start with the "big three": the Sun sign for your core identity, the Moon sign for emotions, and the rising sign for how you meet the world. The East & West at a glance page shows your birth chart beside your BaZi chart. Our guides explain the Sun, Moon and Rising signs, the planets and houses and the five aspects.
