BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny), the I Ching and Korean folk fortunes side by side with Western astrology, tarot and numerology. Enter your birth date once and see East and West together.
Numerology treats numbers as symbols and reduces your birth date and name to a few key numbers. It is often traced to the ideas of Pythagoras, though modern numerology took shape in the 20th century.
Your Life Path number comes from adding the digits of your birth date until one digit remains, keeping the master numbers 11, 22 and 33. Your full birth name, converted letter by letter with the Pythagorean table (A = 1 … I = 9, then again from J), gives the Expression, Soul Urge and Personality numbers. Your Personal Year number combines your birthday with the current year.
Each number has a traditional character — 1 for beginnings, 7 for reflection, 8 for ambition — and the most interesting readings come from how your numbers combine. Use the full name on your birth certificate for the name numbers. The Life Path number guide shows the calculation step by step and why other calculators sometimes disagree.
